David P. Scott is the Chief Strategy Officer and a Board Member at Direct Kinetic Solutions (DKS), where he draws on decades of experience in defense, law, and entrepreneurship to help guide the company’s strategic growth and market expansion. Since joining the Board in 2022 and now serving in an executive leadership role, David has been instrumental in shaping the company’s commercialization approach, investor strategy, and partnership development.

Previously, David worked at TechLink, supporting technology transfer and commercialization of Department of Defense innovations, and served as Director of Commercialization at The Entrepreneurs Center in Dayton. A veteran C-level executive and licensed attorney, David has held leadership roles at a Fortune 500 defense contractor and a Global 100 law firm. He has supported over $4 billion in capital formation and has mentored hundreds of startups as they moved from concept to early customers and scalable growth.

David earned his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kentucky. He mentored emerging startups through several accelerators, including Ocean Accelerator, where he supported founders navigating both business and mission-driven growth.  He is actively involved with the MassChallenge Accelerator, where he was first connected with DKS during the company’s participation in the 2020 cohort; he has since become a trusted advisor, later joining as a board member and now serving as Chief Strategy Officer.
