Remote sensors, orbital assets, and defense technology share a single point of failure: power. Chemical batteries leak even in storage and drain fast. Solar fails in the dark and degrades with dust and snow. Legacy betavoltaics need outsized activity to produce a trickle of power. None of it holds up for decades in the field.
